Artful Gift Giving

It's hard to believe the holidays are here and Christmas is just around the corner. It is a time of celebration and family gatherings. When thinking of gift giving this year, you most likely will be looking for something simple, yet meaningful.
Gift Giving doesn't have to be expensive or extravagant, and it can still be bella beautiful!

Some of my own favorite gifts involve food. {no big surprise there!}
Here's a few artful gifts that are inexpensive and easy to make. Everyone loves something they can eat and enjoy during the holidays, so why not put something delicious on your shopping list this year for friends and family.

Put together a basket of fresh seasonal fruits. Blood oranges are in season and make a delicious apertivo cocktail with chilled champagne or vodka on ice with a sprig of fresh mint.

A chunk of real Parmigiano Reggiano parmesan cheese is something any foodie would love as a gift. Add a micoplane grater and tie with a bow. Delizioso!

Give a subscription for a CSA {community supported agriculture} box of farm fresh vegetables from a local farmer. Click here for a listing to find a local CSA resources near you.

These are just a few of the simple luxuries that can make everyday eating an indulgent gift.
If you don't feel like putting anything together, check out Barnes & Noble.com. They have just launched a new gourmet gift program. I have put together a selection of special Bella Cucina gifts under $50 for artful giving.

Alisa: These are great gift ideas (I love the parmesan with the grater idea). I'm hopping on over to Barnes and Noble to check out your goodies!
